Step Up 2: The Street

Yesterday I watched STEP UP 2:The Streets and it has given me so much inspiration for my upcoming music video. There was shots and edist that I particularly liked in the film. The film is based around two dance student different backgrounds at the Maryland School of the Arts who fell in love. The set and the atmosphere when the dancers was dancing went compliment and went together so well.

When the dancers were dancing and there was a particular dance, they focus it, gave it a 360 spin and then slow it down to highlight that particular dance move to the auidence.
Slow motion of the shot when the water flick to make it dramatic

Watching the film, it had a similar urban vibe and atmosphere that we wanted
for our music video.
I think I will in-coprate this edit (slow-motion) when our artist is doing something symbloic like dancing or walking down the streets.

Overall, I think the film has given me so much inspiration, from the how to edit and the different camera angel to fit the actors in the frame. It's also good to see an example where they have tried to create that same urban, street atmosphere too.
