Florence +the Machine - Lungs Digipak |
This is the Florence and the Machine digipak for her album 'Lungs'. As the original artist of the our chosen song 'Spectrum' is Florence and the Machine, I have chosen to analyse her digipak. As well as her name, her genre of music is very similar to ours, and this would definitely relate to our target audience.
Back Cover |
CD |
The image on the CD is simple. It has the album name across it which is very clear to see with the background image of hands.
This is the front cover of Florence and the Machine - 'Lungs' digipak. It has the artists/band name at the top which is very bold and clear to see. The mid shot of Florence herself takes up the whole of the front cover stating her album name 'Lungs' at the bottom. She used a prop in this image which is the lungs itself, this clearly links to the album name.
The spine of the digipak with the artist and the album name on it.
LANA DEL REY- BORN TO DIE
Front Cover |
This is the front cover of Lana Del Rey's album 'Born to Die'. This front cover is very similar to Florence and the Machines album cover of Lungs. They both consist of a mid shot image of the artist taking up the whole of the front cover and in this case Lana Del Rey. The artist name is at the top and is also very bold and clear and the album name in at the bottom in red contrasting to the rest of the album front cover.
This is the back cover of Lana Del Rey's album 'Born To Die'. This is very simple and doesn't have an image and is all text, however it is very bold and clear to see. The back cover does follow the conventions as it does have a track list, a barcode. the website and the legal information underneath the barcode and the record company logo on the corner.

<---The CD is very simple it just has roses on it, I think the simplicity works well with this.
Rita Ora is another artist that has influenced or artist. The reason why I chose to analyse her digipak is because her general style is street which is very similliar to our artists, however our artist is more towards the grundge. This would definitely appeal to our target audience as both of their styles are very similliar.
This is the front cover of Rita Ora's album 'Ora'. It is a close up shot of her which takes up the whole o fthe album cover which I particularly liked. The artist name is in red at the top but not covering her face, the red makes it bold and stand out. The album name is at the bottom also in red .
This is the back cover to Rita Ora's album 'Ora'. It has several pictures of Rita and has the tracklist in red which makes it stand out. There is a barcode, the name of the record company and the legal information at the bottom. Also on the spine of the digipak it has the artists name and album name, also the name of the record company.
The cd is simple and in red which I really liked. It has the artists name and album name on it.
